Bed bugs can be very difficult to get rid of if they are not treated immediately. Call (562) 291-6975 for help!

We take our obligation to guard the residents of Lakewood from bed bugs very seriously. Recently, we have been handling the increase in Lakewood bed bug infestations. No one knows for certain why there’s a surge of bed bugs in Lakewood, but it’s likely caused by more and more people purchasing used furniture from Craigslist and unintentionally bringing these bed bugs home.

The idea of bed bugs in your own home will probably strike fear within you. They’re one of the pests that you really can’t ignore. While you’re sleeping, bed bugs come out to feed on you. They do this by piercing the skin with a stylet (basically, a long part of its mouth). Bed bugs use this stylet to saw through human flesh to find blood vessels for feeding. The bed bug will then suck the blood of the human for 5 to 10 minutes before returning to its hiding place. The bed bug will concurrently inject saliva into the body of the human it is feeding on. This saliva can create swelling and cause intense itching.

It’s quite normal to not notice the bed bugs themselves. They’ll usually hide in the crevices around your bed and lay their eggs within the seams of the bed. Typically, people don’t know they have a bed bug problem until they’ve been attacked during sleep. If you start noticing little fecal blotches or blood smudges on your bedsheets, then you’ve likely been infested with bed bugs and you should call us immediately. You mustn’t sleep in your home if you suspect that you’ve got a bed bug infestation until they are removed and treated.
